When was the last time you felt great about the way you earn your living?

When was the last time you woke up so in love with what you did that you couldn’t wait to get to work? Sound impossible? It’s not.

I’ve been in both places and I can tell you, no matter how much money I made as a mega-firm attorney, it didn’t compare to the high of loving what I do, being there for friends and family…and still making a great living.

It is possible, very possible to succeed on your own terms and I am here to share the process with through a series of regular events and my entrepreneurship coaching program.

Program descriptions follow. Scroll down for info on Entrepreneurship Coaching.

Entrepreneurship For Lawyers™
- Is it really the answer?

Let me get this out of the way up front—This program is not for everyone and I am not going to sell you on leaving the law to become an entrepreneur because, honestly, many of you who dream of owning your own businesses shouldn’t!

Rather, this compelling seminar series is about opening your eyes to the many considerations that will be critical in your ability to make an informed decision and succeed, either in a new venture or in a revitalized approach to your existing career. You will discover a wealth of immediately-actionable techniques, critical questions and decision-making tools designed to help you figure out whether to make the jump and, if so, what to jump into and how.

And, you will learn how, while law’s analytical training and work-ethic bode well for this entrepreneurship, the peculiar nature of legal practice and the mindset it cultivates are often in disastrous and completely contrary to the mindset needed to be a successful entrepreneur. This single revelation will leave you armed to make the critical changes in mindset needed to succeed.

This program is offered as a two-hour FREE introductory seminar. Reservations are comfirmed on a first come, first-served basis.

Entrepreneurship & Career-change Coaching

Over the last 10-years, I have left a successful career in law, become a personal trainer, launched grown and sold a highly successful training center, become a writer and marketer, launch and grown one of the countries top yoga centers, become a professional direct-response copywriter, speaker and and soon-to-be author with a major NYC publisher…all the while, keeping my family humming along and building a blended, six-figure career doing things I love to do.

And, one of those things is guiding people through the process of adding meaning to their careers and, if appropriate, launching lifestyle-driven businesses. My style is direct, fluff-free, practical and inspired. Because, these days, nobody has the time or energy to screw around. The tools, techniques and advice I deliver do not come from books, certifications or seminars. They come from having achieved a lot in a number of different fields, built a number of companies and changed careers, each time trading up in both living and lifestyle.

Here is how I work.

  1. I work with a maximum of 5 clients at any given time and, often, I take substantially fewer than that. The reason is–while I love to help others, I also oversee a number of other business ventures and I’d be a total hypocrite if I didn’t keep “balance” as an essential tenet of my own professional life.
  2. My fees are not inexpensive. Again, this allows me to take on far fewer clients and give each one a lot more. Fees are based on a monthly retainer format with a minimum commitment of 3-months. I also prefer not to work with clients beyond the six-month mark. By then, you should have what you need to ease into a less-intensive relationship.
  3. We meet once a week either in-person or by phone, after an initial 2-3 hour initial assessment. You also have “reasonable” telephone and e-mail access to me.

If you are interested in exploring this option, e-mail me at jonathan at jonathanfields dot com to request an initial phone consult (there is no fee for this), so that we may both determine if the fit is right. If my schedule is full, I will give you the option of being placed on my on-deck list.
