Direct-Response Copy
It’s the secret that drives the top products, services, blogs and websites to become massively popular, while other similar offerings seem to languish…and I wonder what would happen if you had it on your side?

You put in a ton of hours in the development stage. Heck, we all do. And, you know in your heart, what you’ve created is good. Real good. Maybe even downright revolutionary. But, still, it’s just not selling the way you imagined. There’s got to be a reason, something you’re missing, but can’t quite suss out.
So, perhaps, you take a deeper look at the core-concept. You’ve researched the market. Check. Nobody else is doing what you’re doing. Or, at least they’re not doing it quite the same way. Check. You know you’ve got a real advantage…if only you could get people to see it as clearly as you do. There’s got to be something else you can do to turn this adventure into a huge success.
So you revisit the packaging, the design, the implementation, but, hey, they still look great. Okay, what’s left? Hmmm. The message. There must be something about the way your getting the message out…the pitch, the content of your marketing and advertising…that could be refined to vault you out of the sandbox and into the big leagues. And, you wonder, perhaps, if it’s time to invest the same energy and money in the way you are bringing your product or service to market as you did in creating it.
You don’t have to be told you need to spend money to make money. We all know that. But, you’re not quite sure what the right way to spend it is. You do know, though, that whatever you do, you’ll need to see an immediate, direct financial return on your investment. “Branding” won’t pay your bills. Every dollar you spend needs to put way more than a buck back into your pocket…and fast!
Direct-response copy is the magic-ticket to overnight success!
Now, if you’ve been around long-enough, you’ve probably heard stories about how other people have made gobs of money nearly overnight using something called direct-response copy…and you wonder how amazing would it be to experience that too. No doubt, it’s not the prettiest way to advertise. You won’t win any awards for design. The top direct-marketers never do.
But, hands down, there’s no faster, more powerful way to see an immediate response and a huge return on your marketing investment. It’s the genius behind nearly every mail-order and internet millionaire. And, it can be yours, too…
…if you are ready to trade pretty for rich.
But here’s the problem. There are handful of A-list copywriters and every hard-core direct-marketer knows who they are. They are often booked for months or years in advance and, more and more, they are making so much money writing for their own products, they’re no longer taking on new clients. And, even if they were, you’d have to pay between $15,000 and $80,000 to convince them to write a single sales letter for you and then give them a percentage of sales, too.
I know this, because for the last few years, I’ve not only written the direct-response copy that’s quickly vaulted two of my companies from scribbles on a napkin to generating millions, I’ve also studied these super-human copywriters like a hawk.
And, more recently, one of the most sought after A-listers has taken me under his wing and revealed a set of written linguistic patterns he’s developed and tested over decades that, applied to copy, are nearly impossible to resist. They are slam-dunk sales machines. And, they work for any product, any service, any idea at any price.
He’s not taking new clients any more because he’s making so much money creating and marketing his own products. And, even if you wanted him to write direct-response copy for you, his fees would start at $25,000 plus a profit-share. Before learning any of these A-lister’s secrets, my direct-response copy had already fueled the rapid growth of a number of “bricks and mortar” companies. It drove a 3,000 square foot personal-training center to generate more monthly revenue than 80% of all U.S. health clubs 10-times the size. It’s led an average of 200 new clients through the doors of one of the country’s top-grossing yoga centers. (FYI - I founded both)
It helped launch and grow a group of high-profile Manhattan restaurants into a highly successful syndicate. Heck, it even helped me land a book deal with a major NYC publisher with an advance many-times larger than the average first-time author.
And, that was all before I even began to study with the cream of the crop. Before I learned a veritable library of one of the top copywriter’s hugely-persuasive secret patterns. This is a guy whose copy recently generated $1 million in 28-minutes online earlier this year.
Now, am I that guy? No, of course not. But, I’ll be damned if I’m not doing everything in my power to learn from him, to become his top protege and bring everything I’ve learned to a broader audience (yeah, yeah, and, of course, to use it make my own ventures soar, too).
But, here’s the deal. My book doesn’t come out until January 2009. That gives me a solid chunk of time to commit to working with other clients before I turn most of my energies to making the book a massive a bestseller. So, for the next 12-months, I am going to share my direct-response copywriting skills with a small handful of new clients. But, not just any old clients. And, not with my standard fees.
Because I also run a number of other businesses and am furiously working on this book, I only have time for one or maybe two clients a month max. And, as my own ventures grow, there will likely be many months where I’ll need to wait-list clients or refer out.
Right now, though, I am going to do something that my mentor would probably say is a huge friggin’ mistake. But, then, he’s not me.

It is so important to me to work with people and on projects that truly jazz me. If it’s going to take even a minute away from my family or my own projects, I’ve got to love it from the get-go. Life is too short for anything less. And, one of the things I really love to get involved in are projects and people who are doing something not just to make a ton of money, but to somehow change lives or change the world for the better. I call these folks conscious-entrepreneurs.
So, I am going to put an outrageous challenge and offer out there. At least for a short time.
